Construction of our sustainable villa in Zanzibar was completed in 2018, and we are proud to be at the forefront of sustainable tourism in Tanzania.
Committed to sustainability in Zanzibar, Villa Juliana generates its entire electricity and hot water supply exclusively through solar power. Our two villas are ideally located just 20 meters from the beach, sharing a lush 500sqm tropical garden and a private infinity pool.
Embracing natural comfort, we do not use air-conditioners; instead, all rooms are equipped with ceiling fans, and open windows with mosquito nets ensure excellent natural cross ventilation.
Our spacious villas can accommodate larger groups, with one villa sleeping up to 12 people and the other up to 8. For flexible family holidays in Zanzibar or romantic getaways, rooms can be rented separately, or either or both villas can be booked for exclusive use.

Villa Juliana is designed with accessibility in mind, offering disabled access in wheelchairs to all indoor and outdoor common areas on the ground floor, including convenient pool and garden access.
Our commitment to the Jambiani community and local engagement in Zanzibar is reflected in our construction and furnishings. We proudly promote competent local craftsmanship; all materials used during construction were locally sourced. The unique walls are built with hand-cut coral stones, 50 cm thick, providing natural insulation. Furthermore, all our distinctive furniture is made from recycled old local sailing boats, the traditional Dhows, showcasing sustainable design in Zanzibar.
